The Western Kentucky Veterans Center
The Western Kentucky Veterans Center in Hanson, north
of Madisonville, cost $14.2 million. It has approximately 86,000
square feet of space, with two 45-bed wings for general admission
and one 30-bed wing for residents needing special care, such as
those with Alzheimer's disease.
A potential resident must be a veteran who didn't
have a dishonorable discharge and was born or entered the service
in Kentucky, or has been a Kentucky resident for one year.
